Delcy Rodriguez Ratifies Loyalty to President Maduro and Venezuelan People

Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, emphatically ratified today her unwavering commitment to the Bolivarian project, the Venezuelan people and President Nicolás Maduro during a massive event in Carabobo state.

Delcy Rodríguez underscored that her administration’s absolute loyalty to the nation and its stability transcends any personal or partisan interests, echoing her dedicated service as Executive Vice-President.

She asserted that, in the face of attacks stemming from “meanness and irrationality”, her paramount priority remains the defense of peace, stability and national sovereignty.

She dismissed personal accusations as irrelevant when confronted with the crucial task of safeguarding the country’s future and independence, affirming that her work is executed without personal or partisan calculations.

This steadfast declaration reinforces the Bolivarian Government’s consistent message of prioritizing national interests and collective welfare over individual political aspirations, emphasizing a unified front against internal and external pressures seeking to destabilize the nation.

During her address, the Acting President recounted the significant risks and dangers she willingly assumed to protect the nation and her own family.

“I stepped forward and said: I do this for Venezuela, and I do this for the people of Venezuela. I will not tire of doing it”, she proclaimed, underscoring that her work is carried out tirelessly and with a selfless approach to public service. This personal testimony aimed to connect with the audience on a deeper level, illustrating the profound dedication and sacrifice required to lead the nation through challenging times, further solidifying her image as a committed revolutionary leader.

Rodríguez extended a call for national unity, inviting all sectors to engage in dialogue and collaborative work based on mutual recognition. She assured that the Executive has no reservations about joining forces with diverse actors to advance the country, as Venezuela requires the integration of all wills. This inclusive appeal reflects a broader strategy to mobilize broad societal support and transcend political divides in the pursuit of national objectives, particularly in the face of ongoing geopolitical challenges and external economic coercive measures.

In the context of the ongoing territorial controversy, the Acting President described as “unusual” the Guyanese President Irfaan Ali’s questioning of the use of Venezuela’s official map, which explicitly includes the Essequibo territory.

Rodríguez vehemently reaffirmed that Venezuelan rights over the zone are historical and irrefutable, legally substantiated by the 1966 Geneva Agreement. This strong stance underscores Venezuela’s unwavering position on the disputed territory, emphasizing the historical and legal precedents that support its claims. The dispute over Essequibo remains a central issue in Venezuelan foreign policy, reflecting a firm commitment to defending its territorial integrity against perceived infringements.

Rodríguez confirmed that in the coming days, Venezuela will appear before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to formally ratify its historical posture on the matter. “The time will come for the details to be known”, she added regarding the institutional and sovereign defense actions that have recently been executed. This commitment to pursuing legal avenues at the highest international level demonstrates Venezuela’s dedication to resolving the dispute through peaceful and legal means, while firmly asserting its historical rights.

By emphasizing unity and unwavering loyalty, Rodríguez aims to consolidate domestic support while projecting an image of strength and determination on the international stage. The ongoing struggle against external pressures and the defense of territorial integrity are intertwined narratives that define Venezuela’s current political landscape, calling for consistent vigilance and a unified national response.

Acting President Rodríguez also led the arrival of the “Great National Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions and in Peace” in Carabobo state earlier. This event marked the beginning of a series of engagements with various social sectors, focusing on transcending political differences to forge a common front against the challenges facing the nation.

The mobilization, which traverses various points across the city of Valencia, witnessed notable participation from local leaders and the state’s Governor, Rafael Lacava. In recent days, this caravan has journeyed through the states of Sucre, Zulia, Falcón, Yaracuy, Lara and Portuguesa, as an integral part of a peaceful initiative to combat the scheme of sanctions that profoundly affects the nation. This widespread reach underscores the national scope of the pilgrimage, demonstrating a broad-based popular movement against foreign interference and economic strangulation.

This initiative emphasizes that, despite external aggressions aimed at undermining peace, the people’s collective will, expressed through this grand caravan, demonstrates that ideological barriers vanish when the purpose is the defense of the homeland’s interests.
