Meanwhile, U.S.-Israeli bombings kill dozens in Iranian cities.
On Friday, Iran’s military launched drone attacks against the main Israeli transport center located at Ben Gurion Airport, the Tasnim news agency reported.
“Israeli state inching closer and closer to collapse. Ben Gurion Airport is closed making it difficult for settlers to escape back to their country of origin. Iran called their military operation ‘True Promise,’ and that promise was the destruction of the Rothschild state,” Afrisynergy News commented on the platform X.
Iranian missile units launched four separate rounds of attacks over a 40-minute period, Israel’s army radio reported. Multiple explosions were reported in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, with no immediate reports of casualties.
The barrage of Iranian projectiles activated siren systems in Tel Aviv, where authorities ordered the population to take refuge in bomb shelters.
One missile struck an open area near a power plant in the town of Al-Jazira in the northern part of the territories occupied by Israel. Another wave of Iranian missiles targeted various points in central Israel, according to HispanTV.
Meanwhile, the Tehran Times reported that U.S.-Israeli bombings killed at least 18 people in the city of Qom and 26 people in the city of Isfahan.
The U.S.- Israeli war on Iran continued for the 29th day, to which Tehran has responded with waves of missiles and drones targeting Israel and strategic sites in the Persian Gulf.
Pir Hossein Kolivand, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, confirmed that 66 children under age 5 have died since Feb. 28. The deputy health minister reported damage to 190 medical centers and the closure of 12 hospitals as a result of the attacks.
Iran’s armed forces are maintaining operations in response to the aggression, targeting U.S. bases and interests in the region, as well as Israeli military installations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Washington has not ruled out a ground operation in Iran, prompting more threats from Tehran to double down on its attacks against Israel and U.S. targets in Persian Gulf countries, as well as to tighten its grip on the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, two key arteries for global trade.
