The 3rd Ibero-American Cooperation Week will begin on Tuesday with a screening cycle of films sponsored by the Ibermedia Program, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Until November 5, the Bolivar Theater and the Cinemateca Nacional in this capital will host the film program, with the purpose of showing Venezuelans the Ibermedia Program's achievements, as well as celebrating the participation of Venezuela in the Ibero-American Community, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
'Azul y no tan Rosa' (Blue and not so Pink), 'La Ley' (The Law), 'Mi vida por Sharon' (My Life for Sharon), 'Habana Eva' (Havana Eva), 'Maroa,' 'Misión H20' (Mission H20), 'Postales de Leningrado' (Postcards from Leningrad), 'Nikkei,' and 'Muerte en Berruecos' (Death in Berruecos) will be the national movies screened during the cooperation week, the text states.
The creation of Ibermedia was approved in 1996, at the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in Margarita Island, state of Nueva Esparta, as a stimulus program to co-produce fiction films and documentaries made at the Latin American Community's countries.
These countries include Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, as well as El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay.
