Amid present conflicts in Syria and Yemen, cybersecurity and energy security among key issues to be debated, the meeting of the central group of the Munich Security Conference will be held on Tuesday in this capital.
According to the President of the Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger, the situation in the Middle East reached a new level, and 'the huge crisis not only threatens stability across the region, but is also a great challenge for Europe.'
In this regard, Wolfgang described the meeting as a platform for dialogue between the key actors in the territory.
The meeting will be attended by policy makers, representatives of international organizations and civil society, specialists and executives in the field of communications and information technology, both in the region and in Europe and other parts of the world.
Likewise, the event will be attended by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
According to the organizers, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif; the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Idris Barzani; Nobel Peace Laureate Tawakkol Karman, and the United Nations envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, will also attend the meeting.
The two-day debate (October 28 and 29) will be held in two capitals: Cairo, Egypt, and Doha.
