The International Contact Group created by the European Union (EU) to address the situation in Venezuela, will hold its first meeting on February 7th in Uruguay, according to the report in a press release.
At the ministerial meeting that will take place in Montevideo, they will participate in Europe; France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, while Latin America will be; Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uruguay.
This group was created by the European Union on January 31st in the absence of consensus to establish a position on the situation in Venezuela, where the deputy in contempt, Juan Guaidó, proclaimed himself president with the support of the United States.
Given this, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Greece, Mexico, Uruguay, among other countries, decided to express their support for the legitimate president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who was re-elected in democratic elections on May 20th.
