PDVSA will respond legally to the sanctions imposed by the US

The Minister of Petroleum and president of the state company, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Manuel Quevedo, said that they will respond legally to unilateral and illegal measures imposed on Citgo, by the United States.

During an interview offered to the program José Vicente Hoy, broadcast by Televen, Quevedo also confirmed the commitment of the working class to the company and the country. "The workers are very aware, they are on the street, PDVSA belongs to the workers".

Quevedo stressed that the aggression of the United States may have an impact on the world oil market, affecting oil prices, however, the Venezuelan government (he said), will make the necessary decisions to counteract the consequences.

Also, the minister doubted that the United States could look for alternative markets to replace the supply of Venezuelan oil and fuel, "We place in the North American market in the order of 400 thousand and 600 thousand barrels with the contribution of the joint ventures, of Citgo " He said.

Also, the holder of the oil portfolio, explained that through the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), will create a work agenda to stabilize the global oil market. In addition, he said that during 2019 one of the main objectives will be to consolidate the declaration of cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC countries.
