July 30 election vote to be attended by national observers

AVN.- In addition to the usual international support, the electoral event of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC, Spanish acronym) scheduled for July 30, will be attended by national observers, said president of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Tibisay Lucena on Sunday.
She explained the decision is based on the novel feature of these elections, referring to the massive participation of various sectors of society. "We are calling on different sectors so that they organize themselves to act as national observers, it will be something additional" that will evidence even more the transparency of the process.
She pointed out that the plebiscite called by the Venezuelan opposition is a political activity that will have no legal relevance.
"I hope that they do not generate expectations with the results of that electoral consultation, that they do not generate acts of violence, that they are clear that this process is not valid, they can ask what they want, but they are not allowed to confuse with the assessment of this activity," she said.
Lucena recalled that the election of the 8 candidates to the ANC by the indigenous peoples will take place on August 1.
