Cuba expands a signature campaign to back sovereignty, peace, and international outreach amid external pressure.
Signature initiative promotes peace and counters external pressure through public support
Cuba is expanding the “My Signature for the Homeland” campaign, an initiative launched by President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to support national sovereignty and promote peace, according to official information.
The movement follows a call made by the president to organizations in Cuba and internationally during the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution. Its objective is to disseminate what authorities describe as the truth about Cuba worldwide.
Díaz-Canel initiated the campaign by adding his signature, framing it as a mechanism to reaffirm a declaration issued by the Revolutionary Government on the same date. The declaration underscores the country’s determination to defend its sovereignty and its commitment to peace.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, secretary of Organization of the Communist Party’s Central Committee and member of the Political Bureau, highlighted the initiative in a Facebook post, describing it as an expression of popular sovereignty in response to what officials identify as increasing external aggression.
Authorities link the campaign to reactions against the United States’ economic, commercial, and financial blockade, as well as media attacks and what they describe as ongoing hybrid warfare. Civil society organizations are reported to be among the promoters of the initiative.
“The signature constitutes a tool of political communication that reflects the peaceful vocation of the Cuban people and exposes campaigns that seek to distort its reality,” Morales Ojeda stated.
