Vietnamese parliament prepares for 8th session

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam (Parliament) will meet from October 14 to 17 to approve several important regulations and pave the way for the 8th Session of the legislative body a month later.

Committee members will discuss the draft bills on Companies (amended), Investment (modified) and the readjustment of article 3 of the current legislation relating to the management and use of weapons, explosives and auxiliary tools.

They will also study documents related to the use of capital obtained by the offer of government bonds and the simplification of the people's council system.

They will also consider the attention to citizens' complaints this year, a report on the opinions sent by electors to the next parliamentary session and the readjustment of the legislative program.

The Standing Committee will also check the preparations for the 8th Session of the National Assembly, scheduled from October 21 to November 20.
