Syria accuses Turkey of committing war crimes

Syria today accused Turkey of committing war crimes in its territory.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced that the Turkish president, Recep Tayyib Erdogan, lies in claiming his eagerness for the protection of the Syrian people, and is actually a 'murderer' and his 'regime is criminal', and both are committing massacres against civilians.

According to the text, Erdogan's recent statements show that he is disconnected from reality and has a double face in expressing that he wants to protect the Syrian people and at the same time commits massacres against it under the pretext of fighting terrorism.

The statement ratified the determination of Damascus to face the brutal Turkish aggression in all its forms, anywhere in the country and by all legitimate means.

'The protection of the Syrian people is the exclusive task of the Syrian Arab Army', the statement concluded.

The Turkish government began military operations in the eastern Syrian region of the Euphrates River last Wednesday, which received extensive international convictions and so far caused the deaths of twenty civilians and a huge destruction of the service infrastructure.
