Republicans run out of ways to defend Trump, according to the press

US media today believe that Republicans are running out of ways to defend President Donald Trump from the political trial investigation launched against him in the House of Representatives.

The day before, more than 20 congressmen of the red formation interrupted the testimony that was to be offered behind closed doors by the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Laura Cooper, before the three committees of the Lower House that conduct that investigation, despite not being members of those panels.

If you want to know why Republicans in the Lower House decided to storm the safe room to hinder a deposition, it is probably because President Trump and the Red Party are running out of defenses, an article on the NBC News television network said Thursday.

In the text published on its digital page, the media recounts the different justifications used by the ruler and his partners to defend Trump's calls to Ukraine as adequate for that territory to investigate former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

When the story of a whistleblower who issued a complaint about the president's interactions with Kiev began to spread in September, Trump argued that a conversation in July with his counterpart from that country, Volodymyr Zelensky, had been 'perfectly good and routine'.

Trump and the Republican Party then went on to attack the whistleblower, whose identity is unknown, by saying that he was biased against him and that he had only second-hand knowledge of what happened, but since then in different ways the truthfulness of the content of the original complaint.

Afterwards, the strategy was to say that there was no pressure on Kiev or quid pro quo, until this week the US business manager there, William Taylor, expressed the opposite in Congress.

Given that, the Republicans said they could not see the requests as pressure, because Ukraine did not know that military aid directed to that country had been withheld by Trump, but The New York Times reported yesterday that the nation did know since early August that The money was locked.

During the last month, almost all defenses have collapsed, including the complaint that they assaulted the intelligence room of the Intelligence Committee yesterday because they have been excluded from the investigation process, NBC said.

Similar arguments on the subject was presented by a Times editorial, which noted that as the testimonies progress, it becomes clearer that Trump's only defense is trying to distract from the facts.
