Fernandez, who was defeated by his opponent Gonzalo Castillo in a very close race, said on Sunday at a press briefing that he would not allow the will of the people to be violated.
'Our technical team has detected that an algorithm was installed in the software source code, which distorted the results of the elections,' Fernandez stated, who was seeking a fourth term leading the country.
Fernandez stated that the technicians of his campaign team will offer on Monday more precise data. He announced that the Central Election Board began transmitting the results of the first 500 counted polling stations, offering a significant advantage to his rival, something that he attributed to control of the information.
'However, the results began to change as of 17:43 local time and we were leading votes in a systematic and permanent way until 88% of votes were reached. From that moment, the change began in the vote until Castillo was the winner,' Fernandez said.
The Election Board was expected to offer a press briefing at the end of the vote to provide details of the process and comment on Fernandez's complaint, but it did not do so.
