The Ministry of Defense noted that ten South Korean officers and two military observers traveled to Bogor, south of Jakarta, where the international maneuvers will take place.
The group will join some 400 military officers from 18 countries who will take part in training programs on the detection and elimination of explosives, security control and handling of emergencies.
The maneuvers are part of peace-keeping activities carried out by the Ministries of Defense from the Enhanced Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
That military mechanism involves all ten members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and other countries, including the United States.
