Venezuelan institutions reject US sanctions against President Maduro

AVN.- Venezuela's Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ, Spanish acronym), the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Council of Ministers, the Republican Moral Council and the association of Bolivarian mayors and governors expressed their unanimous rejection of the arbitrary and unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States government against Venezuela's president Nicolas Maduro.
Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez –sided by the Military High Command– asserted that once again the FANB stands firm against American interference as well as a new aggression against the homeland and the people of Venezuela.
He reaffirmed his commitment to national defense and sovereignty, both in the protection of geographical spaces and in maintaining a firm position before imperialism.
"The unilateral measure means punishing the more than eight million Venezuelans who went to vote this July 30th for a National Constituent Assembly."
Likewise, the Council of Ministers, who met Tuesday in the Miraflores presidential palace, Caracas, ratified their support and solidarity with the head of state.
Vice President Tareck El Aissami read a statement reaffirming the loyalty and solidarity with Maduro and other officials also attacked by the U.S. government.
"The infamous aggression against the constitutional president rather than breaking the revolutionary unity, has strengthened our loyalty," he said.
On the other hand, the Republican Moral Council called the measure a new attack to injure sovereignty.
Mayor of Caracas, Jorge Rodriguez issued a communique of the Bolivarian Association of Mayors, which reaffirms its support and recognition to the President and his call to the National Constituent Assembly to promote a great national dialogue leading to peace and stability of the country.
