Security measures guarantee Venezuelans right to vote July 30

AVN.- The National Electoral Council (CNE, Spanish acronym) has defined several security measures to guarantee the right to vote on July 30, when 537 out of the 545 members of the National Constituent Assembly will be elected.
Expanding the security perimeter to 500 meters, declaring polling stations as security zones and activating a contingency voting center are the mechanisms that will be implemented by the Electoral Branch.
The contingency measures will be implemented in 76 parishes of the country, where violence has been reported.
One of the facilities where a contingency center will operate will be the Poliedro de Caracas, to which voters of Chacao, as well as the western area of Petare, were reassigned.
This site will also hold the electors of Baruta and El Cafetal of the Baruta municipality; El Hatillo municipality (except its rural area) and some polling centers of El Valle, La Vega and El Paraiso from the Libertador municipality.
The voters of the Candelaria parish will vote in San Agustin, San Pedro, San Jose, San Bernardino or El Recreo.
In Zulia state, voters from the Chinquinquira parish of Maracaibo municipality will be able to vote in Cacique Mara and Raul Leon. The voters of Juana Avila and Coquivacoa were also reassigned, while the electors of the parish Olegario Villalobos will move to Bolivar and Santa Lucia.
Another of the measures adopted was the extension of the Republic Plan. Since July 21, a total of 232,000 Bolivarian National Armed Forces troops have been deployed in the 14,515 polling stations for the protection of the facilities and electoral material.
