More than $ 240 million awarded by Dicom in nine auctions

AVN.- The Complementary Floating Exchange Rate System (Dicom) has awarded $ 240,316,107 to Venezuelan companies and individuals in its first nine auctions.
More than $ 199.4 million (83%) of this amount, went to companies and $ 40.6 million (17%) to natural persons.
The new Dicom began its first auction last May 31, in which it awarded more than $ 24 million. Then, in the second call, awarded $ 23.8 million; in the third one 26.8 million; in the fourth one 30.3 million; in the fifth one 17.9 million; in the sixth one 30.7 million; and in the seventh allocated more than 29.4 million dollars.
In the eighth auction, it distributed $ 30 million, and in the ninth were awarded 32.3 million.
The greater percentage of the currencies have been destined for the acquisition of raw material, supplies and spare parts. In the case of natural persons, foreign exchange has been earmarked for saving and paying for travel abroad, mainly.
To date more than 427,000 users have registered in the website www.dicom.gob.ve to request foreign exchange. Of that amount, more than 396,000 users are natural persons and 31,000 more are companies.
