AVN.- Venezuela rejected on Thursday unilateral sanctions by the US government, through the Treasury Department, against eight justices of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ, Spanish acronym).
Foreign Minister, Delcy Rodriguez, said in her Twitter account these actions violate international laws and Venezuelan norms.
"It is unprecedented and unacceptable that the US imposes sanctions on a sovereign and independent Public Power, violating international and Venezuelan laws," the diplomat wrote in the digital network.
In this regard, President Nicolas Maduro ratified his support for the magistrates, who are targets of attacks by the imperial powers.
"The US leadership and responsibility in the destabilization of Venezuela, its rule of law and against peace have been highlighted again," said the Venezuelan diplomat.
Venezuela has condemned, on several occasions, the constant attacks and interferences of the United States of America. The most recent was the claim by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to link the Executive Vice President, Tareck El Aissami, with alleged drug trafficking actions. Also, last year, the U.S. decided to extend until 2019 the legislation imposing sanctions against the country.
