Yemeni Houthis Arrest Agents of the Israeli Spy Network

Yemen’s Houthi rebels announced on Saturday the arrest of several people accused of collaborating with Israeli intelligence services, alleging that the group had collected sensitive military and economic information in the country.

The Security and Intelligence Service, controlled by the Houthis, stated in a statement that those arrested had collaborated directly with Israeli agencies, including military intelligence and the Mossad.

The suspects allegedly provided “coordinates of military and security facilities, as well as relevant and diverse information on economic facilities in Yemen.”

The Houthis did not reveal the number of detainees or provide evidence to support their claims.

This announcement is the latest in a series of similar accusations by the Iranian-aligned group, which has carried out repeated crackdowns on alleged spy networks in the areas under its control.

In November 2025, Houthi authorities announced the arrest of several Yemenis accused of spying for Israel in Sanaa.

That same month, a Houthi-controlled court sentenced 17 people to death on charges of espionage for Israel, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.

The movement has also referred other suspects to trial in what it described as long-running intelligence operations, including a case involving 12 people accused of collaborating with US and Israeli intelligence services.
