Venezuela builds houses despite US blockade

Delegations from France and South Korea noted the ongoing construction of houses through the Venezuela Housing Great Mission (GMVV, in Spanish), despite the limitations caused by the United States blockade.

At a meeting in Caracas, the chairman of the Organization Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Korea, Sang-hun Lee, noted the work done by President Nicolas Maduro and Habitat and Housing Minister Ildemaro Villarroel to develop this social program.

'We visualized the achievements made by the GMVV and witnessed on visits to urbanizations how the people construct socialism by building houses,' Lee pointed out.

He assured that the United States and the big world powers are afraid of what the people and the GMVV do, and added that the mission is the spearhead to fight the economic warfare and foreign intervention.

For his part, the chairman of the International Laboratory for Popular Habitat of France, Jean François Parent, stated that the GMVV shows the world the reality of emancipation in Latin America.

'Venezuela is the experimentation of the future of humankind, the point of territorial and housing development,' said Parent, who expressed gratitude for the welcome to work in this huge sociopolitical project.

In that regard, he stressed that this program is not a farce, as some people say, but a popular reality that goes hand in hand with the people.
