Around 90 billion euros have been invested in public health in 13 years

In the last 13 years, around 90 billion euros have been invested in the public health system of the Bolivarian Revolution, in order to provide free services to the Venezuelan people, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informed on Wednesday Nicolás Maduro.

From the state of Zulia, where he made a tour of the SM Pharma drug plant, he explained that through the public health system, in those 13 years, 550.786.510 free laboratory tests were achieved, with an investment of 38 thousand 555 millions of euros.

"If each exam we put an average of 70 euros, we are talking in 13 years of 38 thousand 555 million euros," he said and stressed that right-wing governments that criticize Venezuela do not make this type of investment.

Also, it reported 252 million external consultations and translated into a total chastisement of 25 thousand 259 million euros; In addition, 34,331,811 examinations were made in radiology, means an investment of 2 thousand 403 million euros and surgical interventions were executed 4 million 578 thousand procedures, with an approximate cost of 5 thousand euros each, it is a disbursement of 22 thousand 891 million euros.

During this day, the President approved a series of resources aimed at rehabilitating medical centers and activating community pharmacies.
