President
of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, led the 41st Armored Brigade of the Bolivarian
National Armed Forces (FANB) in military activities that took place Saturday at
Fort Paramacay while preparing for upcoming military exercises in February.
"We
are preparing the most important exercises in the history of Venezuela, because
we are going to demonstrate the military power of an armed force with
operational capacity, combat, defense," said the president who also serves
as commander-in-chief of the army.
In
addition, the Bolivarian leader said that "in order to guarantee peace we
have to prepare ourselves: in this world the brave, the courageous are
respected, and we have to make people respect the Venezuelan nation’s military
power".
Our #FANB
is ready and prepared to defend our national sovereignty and territorial
integrity, in the face of the intentions that would weaker our sacred homeland.
Always Loyal! Traitors Never!
Nicolas
Maduro spoke with the troops and assured them that he felt he was a part of them.
"Believe that this laborer, humbly forged in the barrios (neighborhoods),
who had Comandante Chávez as his teacher, is another soldier."
At this
event, the military reiterated their support for the Bolivarian Revolution, the
constitution and the defense of the homeland.
The
Venezuelan head of state then moved on to Naval Base C / A Agustin Armario, in
the state of Carabobo to continue preparing the soldiers.

year after year, this one will take place under the backdrop of deep foreign
antagonism against the nation.
