It is denounced terrorist cell training to act in opposition march of January 23rd

The National Government, represented by the Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, denounced the training of terrorist cells, by factors of the right-wing Popular Will (VP) party, to generate violent scenarios in the opposition mobilization called for this Wednesday, January 23rd.

According to preliminary investigations, five or six weeks ago terrorist groups were captured in Caracas and transferred to the cities of San Cristóbal (Táchira) and Cúcuta (Colombia) to complete phases of training and "perpetrate acts of violence and establish false positives".

He explained that in the seditious maneuver would be used the weapons of war stolen last Monday by a minority group of assailants, attached to the Command of the 43rd Area of ??the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), in the detachment of Urban Security, located in the parish Petare, Miranda state.

"The weapons were handed over to civilians, belonging to the terrorist cell, Voluntad Popular, for the perpetration of acts of violence, injuries and deaths in the opposition demonstration on January 23," he said from the Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

In this sense, Rodriguez said that of 51 weapons of war stolen by the "group of assailants", a total of 40 were recovered, while 11 are "in the hands of terrorist factors."

In parallel, the false positive contemplated uniforming terrorist factors with facsimiles of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) with the intention that "they would shoot against the opposition demonstration" and, in this way, comply with the orders of the vice president of the United States (USA), Mike Pence.

The Minister of Communication and Information also indicated that the objective of the violent plan, as during the guarimbas of 2017, would be to create conditions to achieve the overthrow of the legitimate government of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
