Chávez: 51 countries support Venezuela's fight against hegemonic attempts of the empire

In the XXIV Annual Meeting of the Forum of São Paulo (FSP), held in Havana, in Cuba, delegations from 51 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean ratified their solidarity with Venezuela, as well as support for the struggles that the people against the hegemonic attempts of US imperialism.

"Venezuela is not alone, the comrades signed a joint declaration in support of Venezuela and expressed willingness to remain under constant surveillance to support us in all that is necessary," said Adán Chávez, vice president of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

On transmission of "Venezolana de Televisión" from the Institute of Higher Studies of Thought of Commander Hugo Chávez, in Caracas, he pointed out that the show of continental solidarity strengthens the "true unity" against the maneuvers that right-wing governments deploy against sovereign nations.

Chávez, who led the national delegation in the FSP, indicated that the continuity of the aggressions against Venezuela was demonstrated, while it was highlighted how, despite the financial sabotage and the promotion of violent actions in the territory, "they have not been able to they will be able to stop the Bolivarian Revolution ".

The PSUV leader stressed that "it is almost a fact" the election of Venezuela as the venue for the XXV Annual Meeting of the 2019 FSP.

"It is practically a fact, we talked with several members of the Working Group and they are evaluating the request, we hope that they will soon formalize the decision to hold the Forum in Venezuela," Chávez added.

Between July 15th and 17th, political parties, indigenous movements, peasants and afro-descendants linked to the left debated fundamental aspects to strengthen Latin American unity and define joint strategies to counteract the aggressions of the right in the region.
