Russia today called for "calm" and adherence to the law in Venezuela, following the successful election held last Sunday when more than 8 million citizens went out to choose candidates for the National Constituent Assembly.
"We are calling for everything to take place in strict correspondence to the law. We are calling on everyone to be calm and adhere to the law," Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said according to EFE news agency on Wednesday.
