With artificial and false foundations, foreign ministers of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, founding members of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur), try to illegally suspend Venezuela for the second time in 2017 from the regional bloc.
These chancellors decided this Saturday to implement the Protocol of Ushuaia, "the Democratic Charter" of the group to suspend a member country in which the democratic order has been broken.
Brazilian Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes reported at a press conference held in the city government of Sao Paulo, that they determined a "political suspension, by consensus, against Venezuela."
According to article 3 of this procedure "Any rupture of the democratic order in one of the States Parties to the present Protocol will give rise to the application of the procedures provided for in the following articles."
However, Venezuela denounced in a communique issued by its Foreign Ministry that such application is "unfounded, since it is based on false assumptions, on illegitimate assumptions that do not correspond to the legal extremes compatible with the provisions of these regulations."
The Protocol of Ushuaia is being applied on Venezuela due to the election of members of the National Constituent Assembly. However, this does not represent any element disturbing the democratic order of Venezuela, on the contrary, it strengthens the participatory and protagonist democracy that lies in the Venezuelan people.
This move shows the political nature of this decision violating the international law and the regulations of the block in order to continue the persecution and intolerance against Venezuela, as the National Constituent Assembly denounced this Saturday in a decree rejecting this new interference.
In addition, this new aggression joins the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States in recent days and attempts by Venezuelan opposition factors to undermine the constitutional order of the nation, as well as encourage a foreign intervention.
Since the arrival of Mauricio Macri in Argentina and the arrival of President Michel Temer in Brazil, public and social policies in these countries have jumped back, curtailing the progress of previous progressive governments.
Both leaders have joined the international attack against Venezuela, from the Organization of American States (OAS), among other international bodies.
