Housing Venezuela reached 56.90% of the target set for 2019

Since its inception in 2011 and to date, the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV, Spanish acronym) has delivered 1,707,057 decent homes to the same numbers of families nationwide, Venezuela's Minister for Habitat and Housing, Manuel Quevedo said on Tuesday.

This figure represents a compliance of 56.90% compared to the goal set by the national government to reach 3,000,0000 homes built and delivered for 2019, according to the Twitter account of the great mission.

During delivery of the weekly report of the superior organ on housing and habitat, Quevedo said that only in 2017 the GMVV has built a total of 347,167 housing units and expects to reach 540,126 houses by the end of the year.

He stressed that the Simon Bolivar Fund for Reconstruction has allocated more than 232 billion bolivars to boost the progress of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela and the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor or New. Tricolor neighborhood.

This fund, created in 2010, is part of the superior organ on housing and habitat, and is funded by the contributions from the National Government, the Mandatory Savings Fund for Housing, public and private banks, as well as resources from quotas made by families who have managed to have a roof through the GMVV.

This social program was created by Commander of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez, to settle the country's housing deficit, through a socialist vision, in which housing is no longer conceived as a commodity, but as a result of a concerted effort of all sectors.
