Venezuela urged US apologize for attacks on human rights across the globe

Caracas, 07 Jun. AVN.- The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Jorge Valero, urged the United States Government to apologize to the world for the atrocities they have committed throughout history against human rights and said the US withdrawal from the Human Rights Council "would rather be a gain for these guarantees in the world."
Valero made the statement on Tuesday during the 35th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, where he repudiated recent intervention statements by US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, who asked Venezuela's president Nicolas Maduro to leave the Human Rights Council.
"The US government is the one who should not only resign its post on that council, but also apologize to the world for the atrocities they have committed throughout history," he said.
The diplomat recalled US threats to leave the council for being too critical of Israel, which was declared a nation independent of Palestine on May 14, 1948 and has since occupied Palestinian territories under the consent of USA.
He also noted that the United States massacred entire villages with their pre-emptive wars and noted that they practice torture against people arbitrarily detained in illegal centers.
