Caracas, 07 Jun. AVN.- The members of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) –gathered in Havana on June 4– reaffirmed their solidarity and support for the Venezuelan people in its struggle against meddling and tutelage the United States is trying to impose.
At this meeting, Venezuela firmly expressed its anti-imperialist struggle against meddling of the United States and its lackeys in the internal affairs of the nation.
The comments were made on Sunday by President Nicolas Maduro, in a message posted on Facebook with photos of Havana's meeting.
"We closed this week with excellent results, receiving the support of our brother countries in the Summit of the Association of Caribbean States in Havana, where we held firm to reject meddling and tutelage imperialism aims to impose," says the message Maduro posted in the social network.
In this regard, Maduro thanked the support given by the 25 countries that comprise the ACS, and said that on his return to Venezuela he will continue to consolidate the new productive economic model in the country.
"We returned to the land of (Simon) Bolivar and (Hugo) Chavez, being grateful for the support. Let's continue working to consolidate our country as a productive power," he wrote.
At the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the ACS, the international body passed a special motion, which supports initiatives for dialogue between the national government and the Venezuelan opposition, based on respect for the Constitution and human rights, in order to consolidate peace in the nation.
