Venezuela's Vice President reaffirms dialogue is the only way to settle differences

AVN.- Venezuela's Vice President, Tareck El Aissami, reaffirmed Friday that dialogue and political recognition are the fundamental steps towards strengthening democratic institutions of the country.
El Aissami said that President Nicolas Maduro will continue to insist on creating spaces for dialogue with all sectors of the country, without distinction. "Dialogue for us is not an option, for us, dialogue is the way," he said.
In an interview with state media, he recalled that anyone who raises the flag of defense of democracy should be aware that this path is crucial.
"A fundamental principle of democracy, of the political diatribe, is the political confrontation of dialogue, of conversation," he said.
He said that the country and its citizens need an opposition showing respect to the Constitution and laws, and in that regard, he said "we will not rest for the rational sectors of the right, the opposition, to address their demands by constitutional means."
